Some
of the highlights
- Dr. Swami and sadhus
visit Ficino School in Auckland,NZ, where the headmaster is Mark Broadwith.
He was previously a teacher of St.James school in London. At Ficino
school, Sanskrit is compulsory and together with regular subjects,
Vedic mathematics is also taught. They also insist on a vegetarian
diet. During the visit Pujya Doctor Swami gave the pupils a falk on
Hinduism, Indian culture and values.
- 12-2-2000 Devotees
participate in the Shilanyas Ceremony for the BAPS Mandir in Auckland,
the sanstha's first mandir in New Zealand.
- Dr.Swami and sadhus
meet with the first Indian Prime Minister of Fiji, Mahendra Pal Chaudhary,
at his residence.
