3 December
2000 dawned with the auspicious chanting of Vedic mantras at the newly
built Swaminaryan Mandir in Anand. The murti pratishtha ceremony was
performed by Swamishri amidst euphoria and divinity. The occasion was
all the more significant because the town of Anand prides in playing
a pivotal role in the development of the Akshar Purushottam Sanstha.
Swamishri consecrated the murtis of Akshar Purushottam Maharaj, Ghanshyam
Maharaj, Laxminarayan Dev, Hanumanji, Ganapatiji and Guru Parampara.
The 65 ft high, 104 ft long and 75 ft wide mandir will now breathe with
172 socio-spiritual activities of the BAPS.
