Joli
Utsav 2001
The annual Joli Utsav in India
is a day of charity and kite-flying. This year, the festival
was celebrated by Swamishri in Jamnagar, Gujarat. More than
5000 devotees from all parts of Gujarat and abroad enthusiastically
participated in the auspicious Joli festival. The festival assembly
wore a colorful look with a backdrop of kites, folkdances, kirtans
and speeches. Finally, the assembly culminated with Swamishri's
blessings and the traditional chanting of the Joli mantra, 'Narayan
Hare Sachidanand Prabho!' Thereafter the devotees filed past
reverentially offering their respects and donations to Thakorji
and Swamishri.
