The Pramukh Swami Computer
Institute located on Bakrol road, Vidyanagar, was inspired
by Pramukh Swami Maharaj with the vision of providing comprenhensive
computer education to the highest standard and with latest
modern teaching aids and facilities. The chief guests at
the inauguration function were the Governor of Gujarat,
H.E. Sundersingh Bhandari and the Indian Minister for Information
Technology, Rt. Hon. Pramod Mahajan. Other leading dignitaries
were also present.
Several thousand people attended this inauguration, in which
the chief guests praised the work of Pramukh Swami Maharaj
and BAPS in the field of education. They also applauded
Swamishri's vision of providing value and character based
education.
The PCI is affiliated with the Sardar Patel University,
Vadodara and is also recognized by the Department of Electronics
Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) Society, a New
Delhi-based central government body, to run its computer
courses. The PCI also has a collaboration with the Louisiana
State University, Los Angeles, USA.
