The Bal - Balika Adhiveshan was
held in the mid-West and North East regions to encourage children
to learn and consolidate the fundamentals of Satsang and Hinduism.
The adhiveshan included three types of competitions: mukhpath
or memorizing competitions, talent competitions and sports
competitions.
Children memorized Vachnamruts, Swamini Vato, shlokas and
kirtans. Talent competitions included drawing, prayer composition,
singing, story telling, speech and project work. Sports competitions
included the 100 meter dash, obstacle race, hurdles and the
lemon and spoon race.
Over 360 children participated in the adhiveshan and such
was the excellence of their preparations that 500 awards were
presented.
