During the summer vacation over
1,265 balaks and balikas participated in the Summer Shibirs.
Based on the theme 'Satsang Asmita,' the shibirs were held
in 6 regions of North America (South East, South West, North
East, West, mid West and Canada) in the presence of Doctor
Swami and sadhus from India and USA.

Each shibir was scheduled for three-and-a-half days and aimed
to educate and entertain the children.

Classroom sessions, workshops, group discussions and audio-visual
presentations on a wide range of topics provided the children
with knowledge about our Hindu heritage, history, traditions
and rituals. They were also inspired to strengthen Hindu values
                    in their daily lives.

The children also took part in games which gave them an opportunity
to relax. At the same time these games were designed to foster
qualities such as harmony, unity, team spirit, responsibility,
                    etc.
