From 31 August to 2 September,
the Annual National Family Shibir was held at Keele Conference
Park. The shibir was based on the theme 'Akshardham Nu Bhathu'.
The shibir commenced with a showing of the video blessings
of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Over 400 adults and 200 children
attended this shibir.
Many satsang topics were covered
during the three days of the shibir. For example, Katha
Varta, Niyam Dharma, Sanstha-Satpurush-Siddhant, Mahima
and Working With Unity. Also discussed were the topics of
Family Values, Sanctity of Marriage, Our Traditions and
Our Identity. Various tools such as audio-visual presentations,
dramas, classroom sessions, as well as speeches, were used
to deliver the message.
On the morning of 1 September,
members of the yuvak, yuvati, balak and balika mandals performed
samuh puja in their respective halls.
The shibir served to generate pride for BAPS and the desire
to sincerely serve our beloved guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
