Satsang Shibir, Kolkata, India

The holy pilgrim site of Gangasagar is where the river Ganga merges with the ocean. It also hosts the ashram of Kapil Muni, the founder of Samkhya philosophy. This holy place was further sanctified by the visit of Nilkanth Varni during his pilgrimage of India.

At this sacred place, from 23-26 October 2001, a Satsang shibir was held in the esteemed presence of Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami. Over 250 devotees, youths and children from the major Satsang Centers in East India participated. Catering for the needs of different age groups, three separate shibirs were held concurrently for elders, teenagers and children.

The aim of shibir was to strengthen the commitment of all to the principles of Satsang.

The whole event was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
