Swamishri's
Puja
At 7.00 am, after Thakorji's darshan,
Swamishri arrived at the main assembly hall for his morning puja. Shri
Harikrishna Maharaj was placed in 12-facing decorative hindolo. The
backdrop of burlap, wood designs, decorative chakhlas gave a festive
and traditional flair to the function.
The murtis of Shri Akshar Purushottam Maharaj on stage were adorned
for the occasion. The Holi bhajans sung by sadhus charged the atmosphere
for the festival colors.
Pushpadolotsav Assembly
The assembly
commenced at 8.30 am with dhun and bhajan. After Pujya Acharya Swami's
speech, Pujya Viveksagar Swami discoursed on 'How to be inspired from
the life of a God-realized Sadhu.'
A Bhajan, 'Na Khele ese hori re ...' was sung by sadhus with the accompaniment
of musical instruments.
Then Pujya Doctor Swami threw light on 'Unity and looking at virtues
in others.' Thereafter, Pujya Mahant Swami elaborated upon 'Imbibing
the state of Atma Realization.'
Thereafter, Swamishri inaugurated new publications by Swaminarayan Aksharpith,
namely:
- Sant Samagam - Pt: 2.
Audio cassette speeches by senior sadhus.
- Video cassette - On
Swamishri's love for children and Charan Kamalna Ful (drama).
- Bal Sabha (English).
- Heart - Publication
in Gujarati about Heart disease and blood pressure.
Swamishri was then honored
with garlands by senior sadhus and dignitaries.
Prior to Swamishri's blessings, sadhus sang the popular bhajan 'Vartal
Gam Fulvadiye ...' during which Swamishri responded and gestured enthusiastically.
Finally, in his blessings Swamishri sang the glory of Shriji Maharaj's
divine sports in the village of Sarangpur and emphasized the need to
absorb the color of satsang in one's life.
At 11.20 am, Swamishri performed pujan of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj with
chandan, flowers and rice grains, and then sprinkled Thakorji with fragrant
colored water. Thereafter, Swamishri showered the consecrated colored
water on the enthusiastic devotees.
About 30,000 devotees availed of the colorful festival and departed
after having mahaprasad.
