At 12.30 p.m.,
on 13 November, Swamishri arrived at the BAPS Chhatralay in
Mt. Abu. An 8ft. high decorated paper elephant, and children
dressed in traditional costumes welcomed Swamishri with traditional
pujan and dances.
In the evening, a homely assembly took place in the hostel
garden. Children enjoyed a lively session of bhajans with
Swamishri. Then a question-answer session followed in which
Swamishri remembered his past experiences at Mt. Abu. A boy
asked, "Bapa, when did you first come to Mt. Abu and
where did you stay?" Swamishri answered, "During
the construction of Gadhada mandir we went to Makrana for
the marble and on the way back we came to see the Delwara
mandir. We stayed in a mandir under a champa tree at Achal
Gadh."
The next morning Swamishri visited the Swaminarayan Vidyapith
Primary School. There he talked to the children about good
conduct and respect for God, parents and teachers.
Before leaving in the evening, a photo session was held with
Swamishri and the students, during which Swamishri lovingly
addressed a few misbehaving children, saying, "If we
confess our faults then God will bless us. God never punishes
those who confess."
