A total of 361 doctors, medical students and their families from Gujarat and Mumbai attended the Regional Medico-Spiritual Conference held from 9 to 12 June 2005 at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Gadhada.
 
During the four-day conference, through speeches by experienced sadhus, the delegates were given detailed description of Swaminarayan spirituality. They were also guided on how to balance their professional and personal lives and how to incorporate basic spiritual practices into their daily routine.
 
Through audio-video shows, they were able to learn about the activities of BAPS. In particular video tours of the newly opened BAPS Pramukh Swami Hospital in Surat and of the BAPS Amrut Herbal Care production unit in Amdavad were shown.

At the end of the conference, all the delegates pledged to undertake new observances which they would practice in their daily lives.

All felt that the conference had been very informative and inspiring.
