On 8 December 2004 a grand procession was held through the streets of Tanga in which the murtis to installed were paraded.

On 9 December 2004, a traditional mahapuja ceremony was held. The murtis, previously sanctified with Vedic rituals by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, were installed in the mandir shrine by Bhaktavatsal Swami, Kothari of the BAPS mandir in Nairobi.

Devotees from Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar-es-Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha and other centers throughout East Africa also attended the celebrations.
