Over 400 devotees attended the Guru Purnima celebration assembly held at the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, on Thursday 21 July 2005.
The assembly was held from 6.30 to 8.0 pm and featured speeches and bhajans describing the glory and necessity of the guru. Special emphasis was laid on the selfless services of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, guru of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, in caring for devotees worldwide.
