On Sunday 24 July 2005, over 250 devotees attended the Guru Purnima celebration at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Perth.

The assembly program included speeches and audio-visual shows describing the significance of Guru Purnima.

The Bal Mandal showed a Power Point Presentation on the 'Qualities of True Sadhu Like Pramukh Swami Maharaj.'

Also, the Kishore Mandal presented a drama highlighting the qualities of an ideal guru.

A beautifully decorated hindolo was also set up to mark the start of the month-long hindolo festival.
