More than 250 devotees, young and
old, participated in the Walkathon in Auckland, New Zealand on
22 April 2007. Pujya Kothari Swami and sadhus, currently on a
spiritual visit of New Zealand, joined in with other eager walkers
and completed the route at Cornwall Park.
The theme of the walkathon “Our Youth, Our Future”
focused on promoting the values and traditions that young people
need most. Many youngsters have lost their way due to vices and
influences which take them away from moral values. The aim of
the walkathon was to reinforce these values and cultivate a positive
attitude in young people.
