BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sydney, hosted an enlightening parayan on the Shrimad Bhagwad Gita on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 August 2008 from 8.15 to 10.00 pm. The spiritual discourses was given by Prabhucharan Swami, and culminated with the Shri Krishna Janmashtmi celebration on Sunday 24 August 2008 from 4.30 to 6.30 pm.
The discourses were attended by hundreds of devotees, who enjoyed the lucid explanations on the qualities of an equipoised and gunatit sadhu, and how these qualities are evident in the life of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
The Shri Krishna Janmashtmi celebration assembly featured kirtans, speeches and video presentations.
The Chief Guest at the celebrations was the Lord Mayor of Parramatta City, His Worship Paul Barber.
The celebrations ended with arti and mahaprasad.
