Dabra
Utsav 'prasad' |
As with last year’s festival, this year’s National
Dabra Utsav (picnic festival) was held in Milton Keynes
on Sun 31 Aug 2003. Amidst the serene surroundings of Willen
Lake, some 1,000 devotees from all over the country participated.
The assembly commenced at 11a.m. Kishores narrated experiences
of their recent Satsang Trip in India whilst youths and
seniors shared touching incidents of Yogiji Maharaj and
Pramukh Swami Maharaj that they had been a witness to. Jaydeep
Swadia’s bhajans were enjoyed by all. Pujya Atmaswarup
Swami and the sadhus also shared their experiences.
Following the two-hour satsang
assembly, everyone had an opportunity to meet their fellow-devotees
whilst partaking snacks and lunch. The younger participants
took to sports and various other leisure activities, which
included volleyball, cricket, tug-of-war, football and kite-flying.
It was truly a day for the family with the weather remaining
just perfect for the event.
