On Saturday 4th September 2004, 25 balaks conducted a mahapuja in the London Mandir, as part of the Nilkanth Varni Murti Pratishtha celebrations. The murti of Nilkanth Varni is to be installed in the Mandir on Monday 6th September 2004 by Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Participants of the mahapuja also prayed for World Peace. Recent events around the world have highlighted the issues facing mankind today. The evils of terrorism, war, violence, crime and drugs are all playing their part in influencing the 21st century. In the modern world the value and importance of prayer has been diminishing and in light of this a series of unique prayers for world peace had been organised by the volunteers of the Bal Mandal. Inspired
by Swamishri, the prayers conducted in accordance with Vedic Hindu
rituals
by children as young as six years old, spread a message of peace and
reconciliation to all members of society. The children learnt the mahapuja as
part of the Bal Pravrutti Suvarna Jayanti through a series of ten training
sessions. . |
