To commemorate the start of the 100th anniversary year of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha to be celebrated in 2007, a special programme of bhajans and speeches was held in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The gathered devotees journeyed through time with speeches interspersed with videos and bhajans dedicated to Shastriji Maharaj, Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Kothari Swami presented the niyam cards for the 100 year celebrations.
A beautiful dance was performed by the youths. A video charting the progress of satsang in the last century was followed by Swamishri’s blessings in which he announced the start of the call of ‘BAPS Shatabdi Mahotsavni jai…’ Swamishri talked of the efforts of Shastriji Maharaj in establishing BAPS through great hardships and how we should increase our knowledge through Satsang Reading. Devotees from all five continents of the world presented Swamishri with a globe symbolising the growth of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha over the last 100 years from humble beginnings in Gujarat in 1907. |
