ANTWERP MURTI PRATISHTHA |
After many months of efforts by the devotees of Belgium, the day had arrived on which the murtis of Shri Akshar Purushottam, Shri Radha-Krishna, Shri Ram-Sita-Hanumanji, Shri Shiv-Parvati-Ganpatiji and the Guru Parampara would be consecrated amidst Vedic chanting in the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Antwerp, Belgium on Sunday 3 December 2006. With the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, sadhus from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasden, London started the pratishtha rituals at precisely 10am as Vedic verses were chanted to infuse the ‘pran’ in the marble murtis. After the pratishtha, Yogvivek Swami read out Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s blessings written to the devotees of Antwerp Satsang Mandal for this auspicious occasion from Bochasan. After the ãrti, everyone had the opportunity of performing darshan of the murtis and the Annakut in which over 150 items were offered to the deities. Altogether, over 250 devotees and well-wishers attended the celebrations. The Mandir is situated in the heart of Antwerp, close to where many Hindus and Gujaratis reside. |
