Inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, 175 kishore and kishori core-karyakars gathered amidst the tranquil settings of Sherwood Forest at Center Parcs to participate in “Likhitan Shastri Yagnapurushdasji” – the National Kishore-Kishori Karyakar Shibir 2007. Personal Satsang development, Satsang knowledge, Seva and Unity were the aims of the Shibir, addressed through a variety of different media.
Group activities focussed around discussions of letters from ‘Likhitan Shastri Yagnapurushdasji’, including interactive goshthi sessions. Understanding and analysing these invaluable letters offered an insight into the personality of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj and his efforts in fostering the growth of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, now in the 100th year.
Auditorium sessions on topics including seva and niyam-dharma played an integral part in personal development and introspection. A series of meetings provided an opportunity for all karyakars to plan and focus on the progression of the Kishore-Kishori Mandal.
The aim of unity, interwoven throughout the entire stay at Center Parcs, involved organised group activities, ranging from chalet tasks to treasure hunts and low rope challenges. These team-building events fostered unity and togetherness between all national centres. The Shibir proved productive, inspiring and enjoyable, as all participants departed with renewed strength, enthusiasm and knowledge to lead BAPS into the future.
