Swagat Sabha

Pramukh Swami Maharaj was formally welcomed to the UK & Europe at a special Swagat Sabha (welcome assembly) held on the evening of Thursday 27 September 2007.

Devotees from across the UK filled the Haveli to capacity at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, and listened to inspirational speeches by senior sadhus Ishwarcharan Swami and Viveksagar Swami.

Swamishri was greeted with a samuh prarthna (collective prayer), “Avo Avo Shriji Swami”, which was followed by a short welcoming ceremony with representatives from each of the various mandals.

Swamishri blessed the assembly, discussing the key components of Akshar Purushottam Upasana, and the great devotees from the past who contributed to its establishment. Swamishri also provided guidance for individuals to better themselves as part of the BAPS Centenary Celebrations.
