After gracing UK & Europe Satsang Mandal with his divine presence for 21 days, Pramukh Swami Maharaj departed from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, shortly after 8.00pm on Monday 15 October 2007.
After having darshan of the murtis in the main Mandir, Swamishri walked through the centre of the Haveli to offer his last darshan to the thousands who had gathered to bid him farewell. The entire audience expressed their devotion to Swamishri with chanting and clapping as he entered. Swamishri spontaneously addressed the assembly, praising the devotion of the devotees. Finally, he personally invited everyone to the grand finale of the BAPS Centenary Celebrations to be held in Amdavad in December.
Swamishri’s departure from London concluded his 163-day ‘BAPS Shatabdi Yatra’ which had taken him from India to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, and then on to America and Canada, and finally to the UK. It had begun on 7 May 2007, by travelling from Amdavad to Nairobi, and ended on 16 October, by returning to Mumbai.
After a short stay in Mumbai, Swamishri will proceed to Gondal for the Diwali celebrations. |
