On Saturday 29 March 2008, the UK Kishori Mandal held their annual National Netball Tournament, which this year was hosted in Leicester. Twelve teams from around the country participated in what was an exciting, competitive and thrilling day.
Each team played three rounds before the knock out stages began and London teams South and Brent as well as Leicester teams A and B progressed to the semi-finals. After a couple of closely matched games, Brent and Leicester A went on to play in the final for the Pramukh Cup. Leicester A eventually won with Brent coming second and South London taking third place.
The day was a great success with a spirit of friendly competitiveness and camaraderie from all mandals. |
