With the grace of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the inspiration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the ‘Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava’ mahapuja was held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester on Sunday 21 June 2009.

Approximately 300 parents and children participated in the vidhi, which was conducted by Vishwaprakash Swami. An inspiring video of Pramukh Swami Maharaj interacting with balaks demonstrated his personal care for children.

Thereafter, Shukmuni Swami addressed the assembly and explained how Pramukh Swami Maharaj teaches children to respect, love and serve their parents.

Following the assembly, mahaprasad was served. The parents and children left the evening feeling charged with a new vision on the parent-child relationship.
