With the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the murtis of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj, Shri Radha-Krishna and the Guru Parampara for BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Coventry were consecrated by Swamishri and dedicated at the Mandir on Sunday 10 December 2006 (Magshar vad 6).
On Sunday 18 December 2011, the fifth anniversary of the Mandir commenced with a Patotsav mahapuja in the presence of Yogvivek Swami, Shukmuni Swami and Vishwaprakash Swami. A beautiful annakut was offered to the murtis and a small sabha in the presence of over 150 devotees followed after the ceremony.
After festive bhajans, devotees shared personal testimonies of how the Mandir had changed their lives for the better and how fortunate they are to have such a spiritual home in Coventry. This was followed by a video highlighting the activities of the Mandir over the five years and the way Satsang is flourishing in and around the city.
Yogvivek Swami concluded the sabha by outlining the need for mandirs in today’s society and also inspiring the devotees and volunteers to take their Satsang to even greater heights. |
