People received free health screening and consultation services during the Community Medical/Health Camp organized by BAPS Medical Services Inc. at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Beltsville, MD. The event was sponsored by Shah Associates of Southern Maryland, Prince George County Health and Sheriff’s Department, and by many other area doctors. Many BAPS volunteers also served with enthusiasm in all areas of services. In addition, several lectures and presentations were arranged regarding diet and diabetes, health issues when traveling to India, and for self-breast examination with demonstration followed by check ups by gynecologist. About 20 self-monitoring glucose machines and medical literature on various health problems were also distributed. Dedicated volunteers, worked very hard to make this event a great success.
