Aksharbrahma Dikshatithi Celebration

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Houston celebrated the auspicious occasion of Aksharbrahma Dikshatithi. Devotees from all over Houston and surrounding areas gathered at the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Stafford with absolute veneration on Saturday, January 26, 2002. The auspicious day of Aksharbrahma Dikshatithi is observed in the BAPS tradition to celebrate the initiation of Mulji Sharma into sainthood by Lord Swaminarayan. He was Aksharbrahma who exemplified the highest qualities of saintliness. The evening program commenced with the traditional dhoon and prathana. Devotional bhajans on the life of Gunatitanand Swami captivated the audience. The program included recitals on the spiritual and moral improvements that Gunatitanand Swami brought in the lives of numerous individuals. The event concluded with Aarti and Mahaprasad.
