Attorney General of Massachusetts Holds a Forum at Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Fall River

The Attorney General of Massachusetts Tom Reilly visited the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Fall River to hold a special forum with leading members of the Indian Community. Reilly, the chairman of the Anti-Terrorism Task Force of Massachusetts addressed the crowd his impressions and the great value he holds for the Indian Community. The Attorney General was quite impressed with the mandir and the various activities held at the mandir. Reilly commented a great deal of the importance given to children in our community and how the mandir was a great example of it.

After his speech an open question-answer forum was held where members expressed their concerns of the growing difficulties with terrorism and ethnic disturbances since the September 11th tragedy. Reilly gave assurance to the community members of the State's ever growing awareness of cultural diversity. He further expressed his desire for a more lasting connection between the states efforts in grassroots cultural and family care with existing infrastructures already running at such places as the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.

In all, all those present were quite pleased with meeting the Attorney General and he too assured continuing support from the State to the Indian Community.
