Male and female karyakars from across North America came together for a special training session from April 12-14 at the BAPS Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Houston, Texas. The theme of the seminar, “Akshar Purushottamna Gaane Gagan Bhari Daiye,” was dedicated to our Guru Paramapara who have tirelessly traveled for the growth of satsang. Pujya Yagnavallabh Swami, in the presence of the entire North America Sant Mandal and the karyakars, inaugurated the convention on April 12 with dip pragataya.

Training was focused on two areas: katha skills & sampark skills. Sants and selected karyakars from across the North America designed the training package with the objective of training individuals so they too may go and train others. Planning and preparation for this seminar started almost 6 months ago.

For each training area, 5-8 participants were selected from each of the 6 regions. These karyakars & regional sants will train other karyakars in their region. In next two months, regional training seminars will be held in all 6 regions.

Along with this seminar, all of the satsang development cells – bal, kishore, yuvak & vadil had special meetings to outline their objectives and plan their projects for the coming year.

Volunteers from the Houston mandal made excellent arrangements, such as transportation, accommodations and food, for all the participants. They worked hard to ensure that all of the classrooms and meeting rooms were fully equipped and prepared for all the attendees.
