A health Fair hosted by the Houston BAPS Mandir .

The fair highlighted the three medical "E's" - Examination, Education and Exhibition:

Examination:
Free physical examinations included eye, ear, dental, blood pressure and blood sugar screening. The fair also provided detailed blood analysis, EKG, PSA-hormone and bone density tests for a nominal fee. These medical examinations were made possible by several doctors, pharmacists, nurses and medical technologists who volunteered their time and equipment.

Education:
Seminars were held throughout the day on health and nutrition topics such as hyperlipidemia, diabetes, metabolism, memory, yoga, and management of medical practices. These seminars were sponsored by health care companies and organizations.

Exhibition:
25 booths were set up by various pharmaceutical companies, local hospitals, government health organizations and other health-care providers which provided guidance and valuable information on the latest medical drugs, disease prevention, and non-conventional medical methods such as acupuncture.

By all measures this health fair was a clear success benefiting numerous community citizens.
