The Kishore Mandals
of Edison, Jersey City, Clifton, Philadelphia, and newly
formed Cherry Hill celebrated two special events graced
with the presence of Pujya Haridarshan Swami and Pujya Bhaktiswarup
Swami: a semi-annual sports day followed by an evening of
festivities highlighted with a Graduation Ceremony for those
Kishores graduating both from college and high school.
Over one hundred Kishores arrived at 9 am at Merrill Park
in Woodbridge, NJ, and despite the presence of rain which
prevented many of the pre-planned activities, their spirit
of sportsmanship was not affected. Basketball, cricket and
soccer were played as the rain poured.
In the middle of the afternoon all headed
back to Edison Mandir and changed into formal attire in
preparation for the evening festivities. After a short sabha
and aarti, the much awaited Graduation Ceremony themed "For
Bapa For Ever" commenced. A full seven course meal
and various entertainment including an award ceremony celebrated
the accomplishments of the thirty-two success-bound Kishores.
