The Houston Balika Mandal held their first Balika Parayan (Spritual Discourses) at the mandir from 12 to 1:30pm. The program was done entirely by balikas in Gujarati. The theme of the Parayan was “Lady Devotees’ Nishta for Maharaj.” Program highlights included kirtans, a parayan, a drama on Rukmai no Nischay, a dance on the bhajan recognizing the 50 years of Bal-Mandal, followed by a slide-show presentation on balika activities. The balikas sacrificed a month and a half of their summer vacation to come to practices. Due to the grace of Maharaj and Swami, the whole program was a great success.
