Pramukh Swami Maharaj bid farewell to the devotees of New York and then began the next leg of his tour of North America in New Jersey on Saturday, May 22, 2004. Upon entering New Jersey, Swamishri first attended a special assembly for volunteers who have sacrificed their time and services for the two weeks that Swamishri is in New Jersey. Swamishri blessed the assembly, commending everyone's zeal and dedication.

Swamishri was then greeted at the Edison Mandir by the balaks (kids) and kishores (youths) of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. As Swamishri made his way down a beautifully decorated red carpet, kishores humbly showered petals upon Swamishri’s feet, while balaks affectionately sang “Aaj maare orade re, aavyaa avinashi alabel”. Swamishri did darshan of the murtis with much devotion.
