BAPS Care International & BAPS Medical Inc organized
a Medico Spiritual Conference on the morning of Sunday, May
23, 2004. Held in the divine presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, hundreds
of physicians, dentists, and pharmacists were present to hear
about the crucial role spirituality plays in medicine.
All the speakers, including
Pujya Doctor Swami
, spoke at length about the existence of a
higher power beyond medicine. In his blessings to the conference,
Swamishri discussed that even though the doctors treat bodily
diseases, there are countless diseases of the mind and the soul
that can only be cured by remembering God.
After being greeted by the heads
of Indian medical associations and local hospitals, Swamishri concluded the conference by individually meeting all of the attendees.
