Today, devotees and saints in Edison focused on many different aspects of worshipping God. During Pramukh Swami Maharaj's walk, devotees described both the divinity of murtis as well as the manner in which festivals are observed. Saints, through kirtans and discourses, highlighted the importance of worshipping God and reading scriptures.
Along the same theme, Swamishri focused his evening blessings around the story of Prahlad from the Shrimad Bhagwat. Praising Prahlad for his unwavering conviction in worshipping God, Swamishri contrasted him with his father Hiranyakashipu. "Due to his ego," Swamishri said, "Hiranyakashipu failed to realize that all the happiness in the world is due to God." Emphasizing the glory and omnipresent nature of God, Swamishri concluded, "Hiranyakashipu's ignorance led him to destruction, while Prahlad proved that God resides within even the smallest part of an atom."
