In the Hindu traditions, and
especially in the Swaminarayan Sampraday, saints make up the
backbone of spiritual life. A special celebration of Sant
Din was held in the divine presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj
in which devotees understood the sacrifice and contribution
of these saints for the benefit of others.
In the evening cultural program,
devotees listened attentively to discourses explaining the
good qualities and characteristics of saints. Then, in his
blessings to the assembly, Swamishri stated that “saints show
true spiritual path leading to God and that is the only real
wealth in life.”
The highlight of the evening
was the honoring of six youths, born and raised in America,
who after two years of training in India, will shortly be
initiated into the parshad fold, where they will embark upon
the second stage of their training as saints. Swamishri praised
their desire to forsake the comforts and to serve the society.
