Pramukh Swami Maharaj has often
said that karyakars (volunteers) are the arms and legs of
the organization. They dedicate much of their time and energy
for the betterment of satsang. On Karyakar din, the evening
cultural program was centered on providing the karyakars with
ideals and inspiration of seva.
Pujya Doctor Swami answered questions posed by karyakars on how to do seva properly and lead a balanced life. Incidents of outstanding karyakars were narrated who had sacrificed a great deal to perform their seva and other duties.
Swamishri’s blessings for the evening were based on a drama performed by yuvaks about a haribhakta during Shreeji Maharaj’s time named Sadashivbhai, as well as King Janak. Swamishri praised them, saying that we should all cultivate an understanding such as theirs - that life and all material wealth is transient, and the only thing permanent is the soul.
