After a span of almost four
years, Pramukh Swami Maharaj blessed the devotees of the South
East region of the United States again. As a mark of "Southern
Hospitality", Swamishri was welcomed by BAPS representatives
from all six southern states: Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. Balaks (kids) raised
flags of all these states to greet Swamishri. The Bal Mandal
showed their devotion by performing a colorful dance, "Halo
Halo Guruji Ne Angane…" in the program.
Mr. Lee Swaney, the mayor of
the city of Clarkston, and Mr. Charles Nelson, the Police
Chief, felicitated Swamishri by presenting the "Key to the
City of Clarkston". The Police Chief wrote in the guest book:
"If the city of Clarkston was populated by the Hindu people,
I would not need a police dept.".
Swamishri blessed the assembly
by explaining the importance of spirituality in life. He emphasized
that intelligence lies in identifying the God or the God-realized
saint. In the end, Swamishri gave "Sameep Darshan" to all
of the devotees present in the assembly.
