Although it is still a few months
away, kishores and kishoris observed the Shraadh of Shastriji
Maharaj during the evening program. Shraadh is a tribute to
and a celebration of the life of a loved one, and all throughout
the program, saints and kishores commemorated the life and
works of Shastriji Maharaj.
The entire environment was made
reminiscent of Shastriji Maharaj, from the Yagnapurush Smruti
Mandir backdrop on stage, to the kirtans of Shastriji Maharaj
playing as delegates filed into the assembly hall.
Kishores learned about the hardships
he faced, the struggles he overcame, and his persistence and
zeal for spreading the Akshar Purushottam Upasana through
skits, speeches, and videos. Kishores also asked Swamishri
to recount several personal accounts of his experiences with
Shastriji Maharaj and his efforts.
At the conclusion of the program,
according to tradition, Swamishri served dudhpaak to saints,
and senior saints served all delegates present.
