After a True Saint, like Pramukh
Swami Maharaj, instills the spirit of God into the sacred
murtis, God resides in the murtis forever. God Himself grants
darshan to the many devotees who come for His darshan to the
Mandir. He listens to their prayers, grants them peace of
mind, and fulfills their wishes.
In addition, the murtis are
highly revered and carefully taken care of. Daily, the murtis
are offered food, beautiful garments, jewelry, incense, flowers,
and any other items that a devotee desires to offer to God.
In this way the devotee offers their devotion to the murtis,
as the Swaminarayan Sampraday is also known as the Bhakti
Sampraday.
