Each
person struggles through
life. For some the trials are
overpowering, for others a bored
status quo prevails,and
for a minority mountains are
pounded to dust in
the search for meaning and joy.
Within the invisible depths of
each soul there is a yearning.
A need to know Why?.
Why do we live?,
Why do we experience problems?,
Why are we travellers on the
journey of life?.
In the search for answers to
their uncertainties many turn to
the God-realised Sadhu.

Narsinhdas Bangad: Where can ones heart find tranquillity?
|
|
Swamishri: Tulsidas has said: Surpur Narpur Nagpur, ye tin
me sukh nahi, ya sukh Hari ke charan me, ya santan ke mahi' (You
may look in paradise, on earth or in hell, nowhere will you find
happiness. For happiness can only be found at Gods feet or
with His chosen Sadhu). Only God and His Sadhu can give us peace.
If you keep God in your heart, tranquillity will pervade. By realising
God to be the all-doer one experiences tranquillity. A true devotee
regards every action of God to be perfect. Every man experiences
difficulties in life; one who has not sought refuge in God, he often
turns to suicide (in order to escape misery). Whereas, one who has
such shelter, he looks to the Satpurush, who in turn gives him the
strength and inspiration to keep on going.
|
|
Should one pray to God asking for such peace?
|
|
Swamishri: Absolutely. Prayer is the only medium through which you
can help ease the burden.
