  Amrut Mahotsav Memories
Amurt Mahotsav Memories

First time in the history of Bombay, a festival so noble, reaching out to so many people, for so long a period was held. A 37-day celebration, both magnificent and meaningful, spectacular and spiritual, elegant and enlightening! Commemorating the 75th Birth Anniversary of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the fifth spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the Amrut Mahotsav celebrated his work, values and virtues which continue to bless our world.

This video captures the craft, culture and character of the celebration through its magnificent archways and mandirs, exhibition and landscapes, stalls and cultural spots, children's Bal Nagri and women's Bhaktipuram, beautifully spread over 100 acres of heavenly sculpted gardens, which were once wastelands. Program highlights are presented.

While you marvel at history created, also give a thought to the future it has blessed: the 8 million people the Mahotsav inspired, the 85,500 children who took vows of good conduct, the 38,000 who quit addictions, the 85 couples who were married in a dowry-free mass marriage, the 82 youths who took initiation into the Sadhu order and the poor and needy! The Mahotsav - its divinity and the unity of 22,000 volunteers is something that remains beyond words and visuals.

We hope the MEMORIES in this video inspires the viewers towards better life, as the Amrut Mahotsav did when celebrated.
