Serves - 2 persons
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon chilli - ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon coriander-cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 2 tablespoon oil
- juice of half a lemon
- salt to taste
Garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped green coriander
Method:
- peel and cut potatoes in square cubes
- wash thoroughly, keep aside
- heat oil in a pot
- add mustard, cumin
- when it splutters add chilli - ginger paste
- add potatoes
- add salt and turmeric powder
- stir properly, cover and cook on low
heat
- stir in between
- when cooked add dhania-jeera powder,
chilli powder
- stir properly
- take off heat and
garnish with coriander
