Serves: 4 persons
Ingredients:
- 1½ cup long grained rice
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- ½ tablespoon of mustard seeds
- salt to taste
- ½ teaspoons of turmeric powder
- 1 green chilli cut into small pieces
- juice of ½ a lemon
Garnish:
- chopped green coriander leaves
Method:
- wash and soak the rice for about 10
minutes
- drain water and keep aside
- heat oil in a pressure cooker
- add mustard seeds and wait till they
splutter
- then add rice, salt, turmeric powder
- stir well and add chillies
- then add 3 cups of water and lemon juice,
stir well
- then pressure cook till 2 whistles
- when ready garnish with green coriander
Serve with curds
