  • 2 May, 2000 (Chaitra Vad 13, V.S. 2056) Tuesday, Surat
    After Thakorji's darshan at 7.45 am Swamishri joined the De-addiction Rally by children who were to join the 20-day anti-addiction campaign. Holding a cardboard banner saying, 'Renounce Addiction, Worship God', Swamishri encouraged the children by joining the small rally from the mandir steps to the assembly hall.
    At 10.35 am Swamishri performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for 'Pramukh Swami General Hospital'. The BAPS Sanstha's 6 storey, modern hospital planned to be completed in the next three years will be a blessing to the people of Surat. During his blessings Swamishri pointed out, "Any person who follows the commands prescribed by the scriptures is happy. Because of a lack in self-control or abstinence, hospitals are made, doctors are trained and medicines are invented. But if man exercises self control and obedience to the scriptural commands then he will be safe from disease and will thus become happy…"

    After completing his morning puja, Swamishri worshipped the canvas murtis to be installed at the new Akshar Purushottam Mandir at Bhadut village.

    Prior to the murti pratishtha ceremony of a new Akshar Purushottam mandir in Sultanabad, a yagna was performed in the presence of Swamishri and 600 participants.
  • 6 May, 2000 (Vaisakh Sud 3, V.S. 2056) Saturday, Sultanabad
    Swamishri performed the murti pratishtha ceremony of Akshar Purushottam Maharaj, Radha Krishna Dev and Guru Parampara in the one pinnacled BAPS Hari mandir. More than 12,000 devotees and well-wishers had attended the opening ceremony.
  • 7 May, 2000 (Vaisakh Sud 4, V.S. 2056) Sunday, Sultanabad
    At 10.00 a.m., Swamishri performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for an Industrial Training Institute (I.T.I.) complex at the K.G. Pithawala Vidyalaya.
  • 10 May, 2000 (Vaisakh Sud 7, V.S. 2056) Wednesday, Navsari
    At 10.35 am Swamishri arrived at an assembly of tribal devotees on the mandir grounds. The stage backdrop of a tribal hut, earthen grain storage containers, a meshwork of palm leaves and a parrot cage created a perfect tribal domestic ambience. After a few speeches on tribal upliftment and a colorful tribal folk dance Swamishri appreciated the 7,000 tribals who had come for the one day convention and emphasized that they should not fall prey to addictions and material enticements and remain steadfast in following the ideals of Hindu dharma.

    At 10.15 am Swamishri attended a special assembly of intelligent students and their parents. Speeches on 'Intelligence and Character', 'Information on Computer Training' and 'Importance of Good Study' were given. Swamishri honored and gave prizes to ten top students. The assembly concluded with Swamishri's blessings.
  • 15 May, 2000 (Vaisakh Sud 12, V.S. 2056) Monday, Sankari
    Along with the new pinnacled mandir coming up in Sankari through the inspiration of Swamishri several new facilities have been provided by the Sanstha. This morning Swamishri performed the ground-breaking ceremony for a new water storage tank on the mandir grounds that will provide water to the entire village of Sankari.
