Divya Sannidhi Parva of bal karyakars, Vidyanagar
    • 20 May 2005 (V.S. 2061, Vaishakh sud 11) Friday, Vidyanagar
From 20 to 23 May Swamishri blessed the Bal Pravrutti Divya Sannidhi Parva.
Since the inception of the BAPS Children’s Forum (Bal Mandal) by Yogiji Maharaj in 1954, today, through the inspiration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, it has grown to 3,020 bal mandals and 2,200 balika mandals in India and abroad (total of 5,220 bal mandals). It has a membership of 100,000 children from standard 1 to 8. More then 75 sadhus and 7,500 male and female volunteers are actively running the bal-balika mandals.
The main theme of the shibir was ‘Atmabuddhi’. On the inaugural day a drama ‘Eva Santne Namu Hu Shish’ was presented by the volunteers. Swamishri addressed the volunteers in this respect, “Today, you have arrived for the shibir. You have come to consolidate your personal glory for God and His Sadhu, faith in them, atmabuddhi in them and to become brahmarup and make this your last birth. Gunatitanand Swami has said, ‘We have got this birth to become akshar-rup and worship Purushottam.’ This birth will be worthwhile only when we offer devotion to God, listen to discourses of His glory and do satsang… to become free of material desires and bhakti to God. Yogiji Maharaj established the bal, kishore, yuvak and mahila mandals. Without the Gunatit Sadhu it is not possible to become brahmarup because one is engrossed in worldly pleasures.”
During the three-day programme Swamishri and the senior sadhus addressed 100 sadhus and 650 male and female volunteers, there were question-answer and interactive sessions with Swamishri, dramas and a celebration of Swamishri’s 55th Pramukh Varni Din on 21 May.

           Tilak-Chandlo
    • 12 May 2005 (V.S. 2061, Vaishakh sud 4) Thursday, Vidyanagar

A student staying at the BAPS Chhatralay in Surat pledged before Swamishri that he would do tilak-chandlo daily. Then he expressed his problem, “Before, I used to do tilak-chandlo on a daily basis. But when the professors and others started teasing me I gave up doing it.”

Swamishri advised, “Let people tease you. You should not react against them. People tease but when you do not react they will get bored and stop pestering you in a few days. So you should not be afraid in doing tilak-chandlo. Since you are a devotee do it properly. By doing tilak-chandlo you are not causing trouble to others. So do not flinch from doing it.”
