23. Guru Bhakti
For forty years Yogiji Maharaj had unflaggingly obeyed the word of
Shastriji Maharaj. Once when Shastriji Maharaj was ill in Gondal,
Yogiji Maharaj used to daily serve him with milk and medicine.
After a few days Yogiji Maharaj was taken to Rajkot to be operated
for hernia. After the operation was successfully performed the effect
of the anaesthesia wore off two hours later. When Yogiji Maharaj opened
his eyes he saw Shastriji Maharaj before him. He folded his hands
and asked the devotees sitting nearby, "Has milk been served to Shastriji
Maharaj?" Everyone was amazed at his devotion and duty to the Guru
in such a condition.
