 | Clothing 
and necessities | Clothing 
and necessities are being distributed in 46 villages. In addition to clothes, 
blankets, tents, waterproof tarpaulins, torches, utensils, primus stoves, toiletries 
and footwear are also being provided to all. At least 14 trucks with these items 
are being dispatched daily to the worst-hit district of Kachchh. Till date, 7500 
blankets have been distributed to help survivors fight the winter chill. | 
 
 | Survey 
and Distribution | Saints 
and volunteers are traveling to interior villages to provide relief to the affected 
people promptly, even in less accessible areas. The saints' touring is also instrumental 
in boosting the survivors morale, and helping them recover from the shock of losing 
their loved ones and the fear of further quakes. | 
  
| Medical camps | Medical 
camps with free prescription and distribution of medicines by doctors are also 
in progress. Blood camps have collected 45,000 cc of blood so far. Three 
Water Filter plants are soon to be installed by the engineers of BAPS.

 | Volunteers | More 
than 4,500 volunteers and 175 saints are active on-site throughout Gujarat. 
In Bhuj, the city nearest the epicenter, an additional 155 volunteers have arrived 
this evening from different cities like Surat and Jamnagar. | 
  
| Fund Raising Campaigns | Fund Raising Campaigns are in full swing to collect 
donations, clothes, medicine, utensils, foodstuff and other necessary items for 
the affected people. These items are then dispatched from different centers to 
the BAPS relief center at Bhuj. For example, at least four truckloads are being 
dispatched daily from our Ahmedabad mandir. |
