Located about 90km from Kolkata, the 8000 villagers of Kailasnagar have struggled to obtain adequate drinking water for many years. To ease their plight, under the guidance of the BAPS sadhus at Kolkata, a tube well reaching over 900ft underground has been set up.

On 26 March 2003, to the accompaniment of Vedic mantras, Pujya Bhagvatpriya Swami ceremoniously inaugurated the drinking water pump.

This facility will save the village folk from having to walk great distances to get drinking water.
